    Isshin Kai Kan Institute of Karate-IKKIK has been established in 1927 which is headed by Soke Jiro Ogasawara. Now IKKIK under supervision of Soke T. Ogasawara (Japan) and Dr.Thomas Cauley (USA). In India headed by Late Shihan T.Pandiraj after his death Dr.Thiyagu Nagaraj appointed as Chief Instructor and Director for IKKIK. He always follow the instruction from Japan hombu dojo and he started to develop IKKIK Karate research institute and our institute main aims is to develop all students and students will be trained physically, Mentally in form of Practical and theoretically under Isshin Kai Kan Institute of Karate.

    Our Main aim is to promote Shorinji-Ryu karate system and provide free training for Poorest youths and creating self employment opportunity in all over India.

    In India Isshin Kai Kan Institute of Karate has been affiliated and recognised by Indian Non-Olympic Association, Association of Sports Karate India Member of NYKS, Ministry of Youth Sports and Affairs, Government of India, World Council for Regular and Distance Education, International Non-Olympic University.

    About Chief Instructor

    Dr.Thiyagu Nagaraj was born in Coimbatore, Tamilnadu, India, started karate at the age of 7. His father (Nagaraj) introduced him to karate for physical fitness. At the age of 7 (1991), Thiyagu Nagaraj began his Karate training at Alan Thilak Karate School (Coimbatore) under the guidance of Late Master Sivakumar. Thiyagu Nagaraj trained for 3 years and earned Green Belt. He participated District, State and National championship. Due to Master death he would not able to continue his karate training. In 1997 at the age of 13, Thiyagu Nagaraj started his Karate career with Shihan T.Pandiraj (Founder of Kenwa Karate School of India) trained for 5 years and received 2nd degree black belt.

    2002 onwards Dr.Thiyagu Nagaraj become a personal secretary to Shihan T.Pandiraj , got an international membership in Sakugawa Koshiki Shorinji-Ryu Karate - Japan. In 2006, After Shihan T.Pandiraj death. Japan Hombu Dojo has promoted Dr.Thiyagu Nagaraj as successor of Shihan T.Pandiraj and grant affiliation for life time.In 2014, he received Doctorate degree in Commerce and become a famous personality in India. Currently, Dr.Thiyagu Nagaraj holds 6th Dan Black Belt and developing the IKKIK with support of Soke T.Ogasawara, 9th Dan Black Belt & Dr.Thomas Cauley, 8th Dan Black Belt .
