Festival and Leave Policy - MYKARATE
MYKARATE INTERNATIONAL This policy ensures class quality, student satisfaction, and smooth operations even during festival seasons.
1. Purpose
To ensure smooth class operations and proper coordination during festival days or employee leave periods by establishing clear procedures for prior approval, communication, and class rescheduling.
2. Scope
This policy applies to all instructors, coordinators, and administrative staff working under MyKarate programs and branches.
3. General Guidelines
- All employees are eligible for festival leave or personal leave as per the approved annual calendar.
- Festival or personal leave must be planned in advance to avoid disruptions to training schedules.
- Uninformed or last-minute announcements are not allowed.
4. Approval Procedure
- Employees must submit leave or festival absence at least 7 days in advance.
- Leave must be submitted to the Director/Assistant Director for approval.
- Only after approval, the employee may proceed to arrange alternate class plans.
- Verbal or unofficial communication does not count as approved leave.

6. Emergency Leave
- In case of emergency leave, the employee must inform the management immediately (within the same day).
- Emergency leave is subject to later verification and documentation.
7. Violation of Policy
- Announcing class cancellations or alternative arrangements without permission will be treated as a policy violation.
- First violation → Verbal warning.
- Second violation → Written warning.
- Third violation → Disciplinary action.
8. Festival Calendar
- An official festival holiday list will be issued at the beginning of every year.
- Only approved festival holidays will be granted as off days.
- Any additional holiday must follow the same approval procedure.
9. Responsibilities
- Employee: Plan leave in advance and follow SOP.
- Branch Head: Verify and recommend leave approval.
- Director/Assistant Director: Final approval and class schedule coordination.
- Admin: Update records and communicate final schedules to students.
